Eggshell Painting Test - July 09

Crush eggshells, use brush and fingers to apply to canvas paper - with acrylic paint and matte medium. This is a test. It would have looked better if the paint color wasn't such a dark teal. Being able to see the eggshell white and beige bits through the paint is more interesting than dark blobs. Also, this mix dulls down a bit after it dries, so lighter paint colors (less dark pigment) would improve this situation as well.

Beet Juice Brush Paintings - July 25-26, 2009

Watercolor paints seem too expensive or intimidating? Try dipping a brush in some beet juice. I'm wondering how light-fast or fade-proof these will be. We'll see.

Torn Paper Landscape Collage #1

I saved up pieces of paper, reports, magazine pictures, and anything else that looked interesting. And this collage is the result of assembling these pieces together.
Enjoy
